Design Reseach - How can design be used to tackle the challenges of an increasingly complex world? Challenges such as health, sustainability and mobility. By focusing on these three themes, researchers at Delft's Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) are developing tools and methods which integrate three main perspectives - people, technology and organisation.. Bachelor courses Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. During the first semester (Fall): For Bachelor exchange students English taught Minor Programmes. During the second semester (Spring): For Bachelor exchange students in Spring there are many English electives available. Courses that are offered can be found here.

As a fashion and textile design engineer, IDE researcher Holly McQuillan wants to change the fashion industry by introducing it to the woven textile-form technique, a kind of 3D weaving which involves creating three-dimensional form by using the weaving process. Through this she wants to make the industry more sustainable by providing realistic.. The selected candidate is expected to establish a new line of research on the intersection of artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, and design. This position explores how designers can shape AI-based learning processes and how to design AI products and interactions that are robust, meaningful, and intelligible.
