The Series 2 Escort RS Turbo was produced between 1986 to 1990, and although it utilised the Series 1 1600cc fuel-injected CVH engine, it was now fitted with a Garrett T3 Turbo, lower gearing, improved gearbox, limited-slip differential, larger clutch, intercooler, stiffer suspension, uprated anti-roll bars, larger brakes, and the list.

S2 RS Turbo Buying Guide. Braking was a major weak point of the Series 1 , on the S2 XR4i discs were used and larger drums on the rear. Girling ABS was also standard.
