Light up the Fells: Lakeland Festival of Light 2023. The fells will be lit up once again as the Lakeland Festival of Light returns to Catbells on April 1st. The annual event sees hundreds of people come together to take to the fells and create a stunning spectacle across Catbells whilst raising money for charities.. A charity event that sees walkers lighting up Catbells will return for a seventh time, and this year will raise money for a special Cumbrian charity. The Lakeland Festival of Light event first took place in 2015 to help raise money for Nepal after it had a devastating earthquake that killed more than 9,000 people.
